Imam Abdul Aleem Ibn Abdullah Razzaqq is the Resident Imam of Masjid Al-Imam in Jersey City, 598 Communipaw Ave. 07304. He serves as President of the Islamic Community Health Collaborative which works with University Hospital in bringing educational and health care services to the Islamic community. He also provides volunteer chaplaincy services at University Hospital. Born and raised In Newark, the Imam served previously as resident Imam of Masjid Isma’il in Roselle.
Imam Razzaqq presently serves as the Co-Convener of Council of Imams in New Jersey; an assembly of Imams representing the Islamic Community supporting the legacy of leadership of Imam Warith Deen Mohammed.
Imam Razzaqq is a retiree of United Air Lines 22 years and 8 years work as a Skycape prior, thirty years of airport work.
Imam Abdul Aleem Razzaqq has experienced full time 2 years chaplaincy at Northern State Prison, 2 years part time chaplaincy at Bergen County Jail, and one year voluntary chaplaincy at Essex County Youth Detention Center.
Imam Razzaqq presently serves as an active member of the Newark Inter Faith Clergy Aliance and the Council of Imams in Newark.
Imam Razzaqq presently teaches basic salaat and Islamic studies class at Masjid Al-Iman Wednesdays for adults, Saturdays for young people. And Sundays at his home for young people.
